How should I store the specimen if testing is delayed?

Swabs can be stored at room temperature (15-30°C) for 4-6 hours or refrigerated (2-8°C) for 24-72 hours. Do not freeze, and bring to room temperature before testing.

Why is first morning urine preferred for male urine testing?

First morning urine has the highest concentration of Chlamydia trachomatis antigen, which improves the test’s detection sensitivity.
